Marty Von, DD
Vice President for Discipleship Ministries
Marty Von has spent his adult life in discipleship ministries—extending hope to the hurting and searching. Throughout the 1970s and early 1980s, Dr. Von ministered with Heart Cry for Revival Ministries, Life Action Ministries, and at FaithWay Baptist Church and College. He joined the faculty of Northland in 1984 where he has taught numerous counseling and psychology courses in addition to his administrative responsibilities as vice president for discipleship ministries and as campus counselor/pastor. He enjoys an extensive travel schedule—preaching and speaking at churches, camps, and conferences across the United States. His heart’s burden is to spread the message of the hope that is found in Christ. He holds a BS in psychology/political science from Eastern Michigan University and an honorary doctorate (DD) from Northland International University. He also completed graduate courses at Eastern Michigan University and additional training at FaithWay Baptist College. Dr. Von and his wife, Susan, have four children and four grandchildren.
