Vice President for Ministry Affairs

Matt Williams holds a BS in business from Central Missouri State Universtiy, an MMin from Northland International University, and was awarded the honorary Doctor of Divinity (DD) from Northland. Dr. Williams was called into full-time ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church in Kansas City, Missouri, where he served faithfully for thirty-two years—first as youth pastor and then associate pastor. While there, he also served for ten years as administrator at Tri-City Christian School. For twenty years he was the executive director for the Missouri Association of Christian Schools and the Mid-America Association of Christian Schools. He initiated the Student Leadership Conferences for the American Association of Christian Schools and has been AACS director of the Student Leadership Conferences for the past twelve years. Following the Lord’s leading, in 2004, Dr. Williams and his family moved from their ministry at Tri-City Baptist Church to join the staff at Northland International University, where he currently serves on the executive administrative staff as the vice president for ministry affairs. He also now serves as executive director of the Wisconsin Association of Christian Schools. He has written two books, How To Be a Team Player and Enjoy It—A Study in Staff Relationships and Biblical Leadership and Becoming a Different Kind of Leader, co-authored with Ken Collier (THE WILDS Christian Camp and Conference Center). Dr. Williams and his wife, Donna, have five children and nine grandchildren.
