Steve, a certified Business Communicator (CBC), earned a bachelor’s degree in Accounting from Bob Jones University and an MBA degree from Millsaps College inJackson, Mississippi. He also studied at the London School of Economics andHarvard University. Steve has beenactively involved in consulting and conducting training seminars on advertisingand business management for more than 800 small- to mid-sized business ownersand managers in the United States, Canada, and Eastern Europe. He has consultedwith a variety of companies and brands such as: Michelin, BFGoodrich Tires,Verizon Wireless, BMW Manufacturing, Volvo Construction Equipment, Chili’s,Macaroni Grill, Porsche Cars North America, The Toro Company, and others.He has also worked in finance and accounting with Ernst & Young andSouthland Bancshares, and he has established a marketing communication companyand a video production company. Since 1999, Steve has served as an adjunctprofessor and has been a guest lecturer at several universities in the fields of entrepreneurship, marketing, advertising, and customer service. Steve has alsoserved as a lay pastor of an inner-city church in South Carolina and haspublished a book entitled Throw Open the Floodgates. Along with his role as the chief advancement officer, Steve enjoys teaching classes in the Cross-Cultural Leadership and Communication majors.
