Fall 2009 Ministry Team

Published On: Friday, October 02, 2009

This group of Northland students served all over the world this summer. Khrystyne traveled to the Far East to teach English, and Amy was able to take the Gospel to Northern Africa. Several others worked at Christian camps and served in their local churches. After an exciting summer, this Northland ministry team is eager to use their energy and the training they have received to impact the lives of teens as they minister in churches, schools, at teen rallies, and teen conferences. Their main focus of ministry is to impact and encourage young people in their walk with the Lord and to encourage them to follow His will while growing in His Word. The avenues they use to accomplish this are varied, including teaching Sunday school, arranging or taking part in youth activities and conferences, ministering in school chapels, spending one-on-one time with kids after school at different activities, and participating in a host of other contact opportunities.

This fall, the team began here in Wisconsin and is moving across the Midwest, with stops in Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio; they will continue east before turning south through the states of Maryland, Pennsylvania, West Virginia, Virginia, and North Carolina. View their itinerary to see if they will be in your area.

During the months of September and October, the team has almost every Saturday booked with a teen rally—a unique opportunity to reach out to kids from Christian schools, home schools, and public schools alike. We trust the Lord to move the hearts of these teens through the preaching of God’s Word and the one-on-one opportunities of the counselors involved, including the Northland ministry team.

Your Ministry Team from Northland International University was very well received at Pendleton Juvenile. Our students were appreciative of the "prizes" and most attentive to the program and Gospel message. A local church provided pizza, sodas, and fresh cookies for all of your students and our juveniles. If your team is ever in our area again, please contact me, and we will schedule them to come in and minister to our students. Please express our gratitude to your supervisor and to Northland's administration.
