Northland Graduate School hosted a dinner on Tuesday, October 13, in
the Dining Hall to provide an occasion for students to learn more about
potential graduate opportunities, to interact with faculty members, and
to participate in a roundtable discussion with members of Northland’s
administration.
Northland
Graduate School offers master of arts degree opportunities in the
fields of Biblical Studies, Biblical Languages, Biblical Counseling,
and Cross-Cultural Studies as well as a master of ministry degree and a
doctor of ministry (DMin) degree. A graduate assistantship program is
available to assist in the payment for graduate work. This program is a
unique opportunity designed to allow students to obtain their degree in
a timely manner while providing them with job and ministry
opportunities, so they grow and are mentored by Christians who are more
seasoned in their ministries.
The faculty
members who were present at the graduate dinner included Dr. Matt
Olson, president of Northland International University; Dr. Jack Klem,
dean of Northland Graduate School; Dr. Sam Horn, Northland's vice
president for ministerial training and pastor of Brookside Baptist
Church; Mr. Van Carpenter, director of library services; and Dr. Jim
Juvinall, chairman of graduate counseling program. Designed to further
inform about the Graduate School, a roundtable discussion posed
questions ranging anywhere from “Why should I stay at Northland for
Graduate School” to “Where is fundamentalism going today?”
