Campus Store Facelift Prompts Grand Reopening

Published On: Tuesday, January 24, 2012

Midst the busyness of the first day back to school, students paused to observe the unveiling of the updated Campus Store. Dr. Olson and Doc O cut the ribbon to honor the renovation of the store, now called Pioneer Café and Pizzeria.

As students milled about observing the changes, samples of the new menu offerings were passed out. The new menu boasts healthy food options, such as salads and wraps. However, the store will continue to offer its most popular item among students, Pioneer Pizza. Shelves of t-shirts, books, and food have been reorganized and replaced by classy chairs, tables, and bar stools. Junior Kaitlyn Colgrove commented, "It’s collegiate looking—very inviting!"

The general consensus of the students was an appreciation of the improved menu and the more sophisticated atmosphere. With the positive changes, the café now provides another ideal spot for students to study and fellowship.
