Northland’s campus is buzzing with activity as
faculty and staff members prepare for a new semester and students reconvene
from varied points around the globe, eager to reconnect with friends and dive
into classes. The spring 2012 academic term officially commences on January 24,
but for some, classes have already begun. A handful of students returned early
for a weeklong Winterlude course. These undergraduate students were joined on
campus by approximately forty ministers from around the country who attended a
Master/Doctor of Ministry module class also held January 16–20.
Other early returnees to campus included members of
the men’s and women’s basketball teams. Both teams spent the last several weeks
of their time off from classes participating in intense practices and taking
the court for numerous games.
Northland Camp & Conference Center’s annual
Men’s Heart Conference, scheduled for January 31–February 3, will open the new
year with a time of spiritual refreshment. The theme of this year’s conference
is “Draw Near: The Devotional Life of God’s Servant.” For further information
or to register to attend, click here.
After enjoying the much-needed rest which Christmas
break provides, students and faculty members are rejuvenated and ready to
return to the classroom. Northland anticipates a wonderful semester of ongoing
academic and spiritual growth.
