Thanks
for your interest in Campus Cause 2011, Northland’s fundraising initiative for
the renovation
of the Dining Hall. This innovative plan provides an opportunity for students,
faculty, and staff to get involved in raising the necessary finances to complete
this vital project.
In keeping with our mission to encourage
students’ hearts toward Christ-likeness, we must prepare the Northland home for
future years of ministry. Over the past year, we have completed the first phase
of the Preparing the Heart project with the comprehensive renovation of the two
original dormitories. By God’s grace and through the generous gifts of many, this
important undertaking has been accomplished. Northland’s Preparing the
Heart—Preparing the Home initiative serves as an expression of gratitude to God
for what He has done as well as a step of faith toward what He has called us to
do for His glory in the future.
Now
that we have completed the first phase of the Preparing the Heart project with
the refurbishing of the original dormitory buildings, we are taking strides
toward the remodeling of our Dining Hall. Built in the 1960s when Northland was
only a small summer camp, our dining facility is now in desperate need of
expansion and renovation.
Over three hundred
members of the Northland family have signed up to help make Campus Cause 2011 a
success. Each of these individuals has been contacting family and friends and
inviting them to partner with us in this endeavor. A generous donor has agreed
to match contributions up to $150,000, and we are striving to raise this amount
by Friday, November 11.
The Lord is doing a great work here at
Northland, and we are excited to see how he will continue to work through this
endeavor as we seek to move forward and commence this project in 2012. Please prayerfully consider partnering with us as we feed
the next generation of servant-leaders for Great Commission living.
