Biblical Studies
A
degree in Biblical Studies provides a wide range of options for any
student desiring to go into the ministry. From church planting to youth
ministries, the degree will equip every student with the tools needed to study the Word of God effectively as well as teach and counsel in

Cross-Cultural Studies
Northland
is passionate about the Cross-Cultural Studies program, which prepares students for global ministry. Through specific courses and a cross-cultural internship, students are equipped to fulfill the Great Commission.Thee Cross-Cultural Studies degree offers the following two emphases: cross-cultural education and missions. The cross-cultural education emphasis further prepares the student, especially through the use of TESL, for tentmaking service in countries not traditionally considered open. The missions emphasis focuses on developing the student’s preaching skills and church development strategies. Church Ministries
Ministries
today need godly coaches to mentor their students as well as organized
office managers to supervise the details of the ministry. If a young person is
interested in working for a local church or a parachurch ministry—such
as a camp or Christian school, Northland’s Church Ministries degree will
provide excellent preparation. With this degree a student can choose one of the following five emphases: camp ministries, Christian education, family and women’s ministries, office administration, or sports ministries. Individual skills will be
refined, and the student will be prepared to thrive in one of these specific

Elementary Education
God has blessed some young people with a gift for teaching and working with children.
Majoring in Elementary Education will equip students with the tools
necessary to teach academic subjects enthusiastically, to organize and manage classrooms efficiently, and to deal with various learning styles and abilities. Most importantly, graduates will posses the ability to guide young hearts to
the Gospel and to shape open and receptive minds with a thoroughly

English Education
Northland’s English Education degree will not only inspire a love for literature
and excellent composition, this program will also allow you to walk
confidently into a secondary-level English classroom, competent to
instruct in grammar, composition, and literature. This degree could
also be coupled with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language,

History Education
The History Education program at Northland offers excellent preparation for teaching
history on the secondary level in both traditional and innovative classroom settings. Course work includes traditional subject content as well as carefully designed field experiences. History has objective value, and Northland’s history faculty believes that God is the author, sustainer, and end of all human endeavors. This degree will
ground students in the Word of God and provide them with a thorough

Mathematics Education
Some students enjoyed and excelled in their high school math courses. If they would like
to continue in this field of study, Northland’s Mathematics Education program
will thoroughly equip them with the necessary skill set. Northland’s math faculty firmly believes that math is a powerful tool by which the Creator reveals Himself to show the complexity, uniformity, and brilliance of the universe. Whether the student’s goal is to

Music
Music is a gift from God, and the Music Department is excited to prepare students who can minister God-honoring, biblically based music effectively in local churches, on the mission field, or as teachers in Christian schools or private studios. The music core includes a strong combination of classes designed to refine a student’s music theory and to deepen an understanding of music history and literature while providing many performance opportunities. Each Music major must choose one

Students
who love theatre or performing literature will love Northland’s Speech Education degree. The Speech Education degree blends training in public
speaking, performance studies, or dramatic productions with Northland’s
unique brand of ministry drama. Students may choose one of the following three
emphases: directing, performance studies, or public speaking. Northland
offers many performance opportunities, allowing students to develop

Associate of Arts Degrees
For students who are unable to pursue a four-year degree, a two-year associate of arts degree may be the perfect solution!
- The
Biblical Studies associate program provides students with all the tools
needed to be an effective layman in the local church as well as
providing a strong biblical foundation before pursuing a degree in
another secular field.
- The Cultural Studies associate program prepares students for global missions work or may serve as a
foundational degree before pursuing another degree such as nursing,
aviation, or premed.
Associate of Science Degree
An
associate degree in Church Ministries will equip you with the
foundational training needed to be effective in one of the following two areas. The family and women’s ministries focus provides
young ladies with the skills needed to be effective in the home and local
church. The office administration focus provides the basic
skill set needed to assist in any office environment (church, missions
