Each spring at our annual Missions Conference it is humbling to see
how many of our current students are burdened for missions. On any
given year, approximately one-fourth of our student body (150-175
students) indicates that they sense God's leading to full-time
missions. Many of our faculty and staff have either full-time or
short-term mission field experience. At Northland, the burden for
worldwide evangelism is not only promoted by our Missions Department,
it is campus-wide. This certainly includes the Athletic Department.
Scheduling athletic team mission trips is part of our athletic
philosophy. These trips are an amazing tool for discipleship in the
lives of our own student/athletes. You can read some of their personal

links below. Some of the more recent trips will include a trip summary
and photos along with the team testimonies.
Sports mission trips also help us keep our focus on the ministry of
athletics. Each mission trip has given us the opportunity to share the
gospel with hundreds of unsaved people.We have seen many salvation
decisions and have made new contacts for the missionaries to follow up
on. Most of these new contacts were a direct result of having our
sports teams in their country. If you know of any missionaries who
would like to host an athletic mission team, please ask them to contact
us. We are always praying about and planning for future sports mission
trip opportunities.
