The Pioneers were able to find the back of the net thirteen
times as they dismantled a young Kuyper squad. Daniel Doran scored four with Luke
Ortler and Josh Conover chipping in with three apiece.
A balanced attack was too much for the young side from
Kuyper to handle. Luke Ortler started the scoring off in the tenth
minute after a nicely placed ball from fellow freshman Caleb Salsman. The Pioneers
would tack five more before the half would finish, taking a 6–0 lead into the
half.
Northland would go on to add six more in the second,
including three from Daniel Doran in a five-minute span. Mark Romig contributed,
adding two goals for Northland, with Miles Herron also adding one.
The Pioneers improve to 6–1 on the year and will look to improve upon that record as they move on
to perhaps their toughest match of the year as they host the Wolves from
Cardinal Stritch this Saturday afternoon at 2 p.m.
