Led by Josh Conover’s 14 points in the first half, Northland
carried a four point lead going into the half, 34–30.The Pioneers used their quickness to get
numerous fast break points and easy lay ups.Brad Snyder cleaned up the glass, grabbing 8 first half rebounds which
eventually led to 6 assists in transition.
The Buccaneers of UW-Marinette came out the locker room with
a renewed game plan to get the ball inside.The Pioneers picked up some very quick fouls due to their lack of size,
and the Bucs capitalized.UW-Marinette
kept the game close, but the Pioneers proved to be too much to handle.Josh Conover finished the game with a 20-point effort, and Seth Quirey found his stroke as he finished with 18
points.
