The elementary education program will supply teachers with the necessary tools to guide their students into biblical truth as they teach academic content and manage a classroom of diverse learners.
Requirements Overview
The program of study for students in Elementary Education consists of a Bible core, a general education core, and a series of methods courses specifically designed to prepare prospective teachers for the elementary classroom. Observation in area schools, tutoring opportunities in Northland’s K–12 school, a week-long practicum, and student teaching provide hands-on learning and the opportunity to be mentored by experienced teachers.
