For those who love quality literature and find themselves correcting grammatical errors, majoring in English at Northland might be the perfect avenue! Northland’s English teachers love their subject matter and invest themselves in each student, inspiring a deep affection for good literature and excellent writing skills. This is a useful foundation degree that will equip students for future graduate work.
Northland’s English Education degree will not only inspire a love for literature and excellent composition, this program will also allow graduates to walk confidently into a secondary-level English classroom, competent to instruct in grammar, composition, and literature. This degree could also be coupled with a minor in Teaching English as a Second Language, which would further equip graduates to teach in classrooms all over the world.
