VA Benefits

Since Northland International University is an approved school for VA and other military-related educational benefits, students who have served in the Armed Forces have many programs available to help them pay for their education here. In addition to the VA Montgomery G.I. Bill, there are several other federal and state programs for veterans, reservists, and National Guardsmen. If a student believes he may qualify for one of these programs, he should do the following:

Contact his County Veterans Service Officer (CVSO) to discuss which benefits might be obtainable. http://www.nacvso.org/cvso.asp

Familiarize himself with the different programs on Northland’s website under VA Benefits.

Complete and submit all of the necessary applications for educational benefits before each program’s respective cut-off date.

Contact the Northland Financial Aid Office at the beginning of each term (including Winterlude and summer sessions) to notify Mrs. McLain of his intentions to receive educational assistance from the military.

PLEASE NOTE:
By applying for benefits, a student is authorizing the release of his transcript information to the VA and other related federal and state agencies.

Some of the benefit programs pay the student directly and others pay Northland. It is the responsibility of each student to make sure that his own bill is paid.
