Stage Productions 

Each semester, students have the opportunity to audition for a major stage production. Northland Communication Arts faculty members direct these productions. Some notable titles presented over the years include Taming of the Shrew, Ten Little Indians, Arsenic and Old Lace, Twelfth Night, A Christmas Carol, Pride and Prejudice, The Matchmaker, Two Gentlemen of Verona, Running in the Red, A Murder is Announced, and Charley’s Aunt. Rehearsals for the stage productions are Monday/Friday from 3:30–5:30 p.m. and Tuesday/Thursday from 7:00–9:00 p.m.

Dramatic Productions Recital 

Students also have the opportunity to participate in student-directed productions. In order to fulfill their requirements for graduation, some seniors in the performance studies or speech education emphases choose to direct a play for their senior project. Student productions have included such titles as Our Hearts Were Young and Gay, Paper Tigers, I Never Saw Another Butterfly, The Curious Savage, and Once to Every Man.
